Drawn from life,
made to keep.

I make hand-drawn portraits, illustration, and watercolor sketches — pieces for the people you love, the places you keep coming back to, and the days you'll want to remember the shape of.

01 — Selected work

A few pages from the studio.

Some pieces are quiet, some are loud, some are barely held together — all of them are drawn by hand, start to finish, for one person at a time.

02 — Commissions

Three ways to work together.

Most pieces fall into one of these. Pricing is a starting point — the real number depends on size, medium, and how many faces are in it. Tell me what you're imagining and I'll come back with a quote.

Portraits

The people you love.

Drawn from your photos in graphite, ink, watercolor, or digital. Partners, parents, kids, the dog, the whole crew — made to be framed and lived with for a long time.

  • 8×10" · 1 subject · from $145
  • 11×14" · 1–2 subjects · from $285
  • 16×20" · group / scene · from $525

Color (watercolor, pastel, digital) +$60. Each additional subject +50%.

On-location

The places you keep going back to.

Watercolor and ink sketches of homes, streets, venues, the corner of the world that means something. Drawn from life when I can get there, from your photos when I can't.

  • Originals from sketchbook · $80–$220
  • Custom location commission · from $250
  • Live event sketching · from $450/hr

Travel quoted separately. Local commissions get priority scheduling.

03 — Live & in-person

Out of the studio, into the day.

Two ways the work moves into real life — sketching live at events as they're happening, and gathering small groups to draw on location together in some of the most worth-looking-at places on earth.

Live event sketching

The night, drawn as it happens.

I show up with a portable kit and turn your wedding, party, or brand activation into something nobody else's photographer will catch — the dress mid-spin, the speech everyone forgot to film, the dog who showed up uninvited. Guests leave with hand-drawn keepsakes, or I work toward one large finished spread for you to keep.

  • Live sketching · from $450/hr (2-hr min)
  • Per-guest portrait stations · quoted
  • Custom event illustration · from $650

Booking 6–12 weeks out. Travel quoted separately.

04 — About

One artist. One sketchbook at a time.

Nimble Scribble is a one-person studio. I work in graphite, ink, watercolor, gouache, and digital — whatever the piece is asking for. The studio runs on slow mornings, long walks with a sketchbook, and the belief that paying attention is its own kind of love letter.

My favorite work sits at the edge of finished and still-moving — confident lines, honest washes, the mark that only shows up when you stop second-guessing.

No tracing, no AI, no print-on-demand. Every piece is drawn by hand for one person, and made to outlast the moment that asked for it.

“The day will pass. The drawing won't.”

— Studio motto, until the first real testimonial lands

05 — Start a commission

Tell me what you're imagining.

You don't need to have it all figured out. Send what you know — the person, the place, the day, the rough idea — and I'll write back within one business day with a quote, a timeline, and a few questions to fill in the rest.
